We Are Dauntless...
In our commitment to empowering low-income widows across Nigeria

The Dauntless Widows Foundation (DWF) started as the #DearWidowProject in March 2018 as an awareness project towards creating support away from the ills that widowed families still face in some communities in Nigeria. Becoming a fully registered organization in April 2021, DWF is dedicated to providing means to access, and growth opportunities to low-income widowed families.
The activities of our organization include funding skill acquisition programs for children from low-income widowed families, funding career plans for these children, financing widows’ businesses, providing basic amenities, and covering tuition expenses. To do this, a team of dauntless volunteers we refer to as “helpers,” reach out to widows within and outside our community and connect them to resources. Our organization has been able to fund 19 families in different states in Nigeria in the past four years, and continues to expand her operations through collaborations with organizations who share similar vision.
At the core of our organization is creating a community where individuals from low-income widowed families can not only request financial and emotional support, but can also contribute resources to support those within the community. This creates a ripple of reaching out to other individuals with similar backgrounds and paying kindness forward. Our vision is that our community grows to a financially and emotionally stable one of dauntless women who not only reach out for help, but can provide help to others within and outside the DWF community.
