Cares and smiles

This is a very late post, but the wait was worth it...
May is always a special month for our community. It is the time we visit the families in our community with care packages! We call it the annual mid-year-care-visitation (MYCV– If you like abbreviations 😉)
The idea of sending love around the end of year is long standing. However, we know how challenging mid-years can be — especially with the continuous rise in food costs and transportation in Nigeria 😩. We ended the month of May with our mid-year-care-visitation and here are some moments we caught on camera!

It was great to see how the families in our community were doing and to offer the benevolence of our friendship and constant support! There were smiles and good news to boot! One of the children under our care has just graduated nursery school and another was just beginning their West African Examination Council (WAEC) certificate exams.
More news... Two trainees for our skill acquisition program are completing their first month out of six months this June! You can learn more about our mid-year and skill acquisition outreaches on our project page.
We’d love to add more families to our community. Is there any low-income widowed family you know whom we can add to our community? Please nominate them.
